 Botox Eagan, MNDysport Eagan MN

Our BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® services are a popular choice for a more youthful look. These wrinkle relaxing products are a non-surgical, highly purified
protein injectable product that relaxes the underlying muscles that cause wrinkles or asymmetries in the face. After a thorough consultation, the procedure itself
only takes a few minutes with minimal discomfort and no recovery time is needed. Results are apparent in 14 days with results typically lasting up to three to four months and can be easily maintained with follow-up treatments.  Most commonly used to correct:

  •  Frown lines between the brows (glabella)   Botox for men
  •  Crow’s feet
  •  Horizontal lines of the forehead
  •  Lifting and contouring the eyebrows
  •  Vertical lip lines
  •  Smile lines
  •  Elevating the corners of the mouth

As an experienced injector, Denise prides herself in developing relationships with her patients and customizing their treatment to help enhance their natural
beauty. She educates her patients and will guide them in the right direction all while providing the most comfortable and gentle injection technique.

BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® injections are ideal for nearly anyone wishing to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and restore
a younger, more
refreshed appearance.

In addition, it is important that those seeking treatment are in good physical health, are not pregnant or nursing, and do not have a neuromuscular disorder.
People seeking BOTOX or Dysport injections should have realistic expectations regarding this procedure’s abilities and should discuss at the time of their visit.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?

  •  Mild to moderate crow’s feet
  •  Mild to moderate forehead lines
  •  Mild to moderate frown lines (between the brows)
  •  Lines over the nose (“bunny” lines)
  •  Can also be used for chin dimpling and dense neck bands in some instances

Juvederm's Ultra and Ultra Plus are great products to help support nasolabial folds, marionette lines, oral commissures, and enhance lips.  Vollure another

Restylane Filler Family

From the Restylane fillers there is Restylane Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct volume loss and treat wrinkles
in the face and hands. Over time, the natural fat begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles and a reduction of volume.
Through nonsurgical injections, Restylane Lyft is specifically designed to add fullness to the cheeks, midface area, and the backs of the hands which can result in a
more natural-looking, youthful
appearance.

MOST COMMON PROBLEM AREAS

  • Lines around the mouth
  • Dark circles under eyes
  • Marionette lines (jowls)
  • Sagging/Volume loss in cheek area
  • Thin lips

As skin loses elasticity with age, the lines that run from the sides of your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the
corner of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) appear more noticeable. Dermal fillers are specifically formulated hyaluronic acid cross linked for longevity.
The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Refyne is also designed to help support your natural expression—for real-life results that help maintain natural
movement when you're smiling, frowning and even puckering up.

Restylane Defyne is designed to treat moderate to deep wrinkles and folds, making it a versatile and flexible product for beautiful natural restoration for signs of
aging. The new XpresHAn technology of these Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers encourages a longer lasting effect. Restylane Defyne lasts up to 12 months.

Plan For Your Treatment

Please plan your treatment to allow for several days or more of potential swelling, tenderness, and bruising. If you have an active cold sore, fever blister,
canker sore, or shingles you will need to postpone treatment. If you are prone to developing cold sores, fever blisters, or shingles, please contact us 1 week
before treatment for recommendations.

If you’ve started any antibiotics or other medications since your initial visit, please let us know.  Avoiding Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Motrin, Vitamin E, fish oil, St. John’s Wort, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products 5 days prior to treatment is best to decrease your risk of bruising. Do not stop taking any
medications that have been prescribed to you without first discussing with your prescribing physician.  Do inform your treatment provider of all medical conditions, medications you are taking, skin disorders, allergies, history of anaphylaxis, and any other medical problems.

To reduce the risk of bruising, consider taking over the counter Arnica supplements if not contraindicated with your current medication regimen (available online,
at most supplement stores). Start taking oral Arnica 7-10 days before treatment. Take as directed on the bottle.   Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages 48 hours
before treatment to reduce risk of bruising.Tylenol will not increase the chance of bruising and is preferred for the week prior to treatment. To help with possible
discomfort, you may take acetaminophen (i.e. Tylenol) one hour prior to your scheduled appointment.  Do not take more than 3000mg of acetaminophen/Tylenol
in a 24 hour period.

Not Indicated For

  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot be treated.
  • Patients actively undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment cannot be treated.
  • Patients must be in remission for 12 months to be treated.
  • If you have recently used the medication accutane, it is recommended to postpone treatment until at least six months after stopping the medication.

After Your Dermal Filler Treatment

You might have some redness and swelling that should resolve within several days. Bruising may occur, and may last up to 14 days. Cold compresses/ice may
be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling. You may apply a cold compress to the area for several seconds at a time, up to 20 minutes per hour, and
you may do this hourly for 3 days.

Certain areas of the face such as the undereyes, will swell more than others. Swelling and bruising may last several days to weeks. Call our office if you notice
blanching (whitening of the skin) or have any other concerns.  Do not manipulate, push, or rub injection sites within the first 48 hours. Exercise should be avoided
within the first 24-72 hours as it may increase swelling.
Your skin may be more sensitive during the first several days after treatment. Use gentle skin care
products during this time, and wait 3 days before using harsher treatment products such as retinol, or AHA. Makeup and gentle cleansers can typically be
applied several hours after treatment.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) For Hair Loss

PRP for hair lossPRP Injection

PRP Therapy is a healthy, preventative, and proactive therapy that utilizes your own platelet rich plasma. PRP is used for many medical and aesthetic treatments,
and is an ideal way to combat hair loss. More than 50% of men and women experience thinning hair or a form of baldness by age 50, with signs beginning as
early as
our 20’s.

PRP Therapy is a natural therapy used to stimulate and regenerate healthy new hair growth as well as prevent further hair loss. PRP stimulates undersized or
underactive hair follicles and encourages the production of thicker, stronger, and longer strands of hair.

What to expect with PRP Treatment for Hair Loss

This in-office treatment involves a quick blood draw from your arm, and the process of separating the plasma from the red blood cells in a machine called a
centrifuge. Once separated, the plasma (PRP) is injected strategically into the scalp where needed (or desired). This is reported as a primarily painless
procedure from patients.

What you can expect after PRP Therapy

  • New hair growth
  • Thickness of existing hair
  • Stronger hair follicles

Hair loss conditions that can be treated with PRP Therapy

  • Alopecia (male and female pattern baldness): Alopecia is a hereditary and androgen-dependent progressive thinning of the scalp hair in a defined pattern.
It is a common disorder, affecting women as well as men.
  • Alopecia areata: Spotty areas of baldness or thinning hair, typically the size of a coin.
  • Hypotrichosis: Hypotrichosis is fine or reduced hairs of the eyebrows or beard as we age.
  • Trichotillomania: Compulsive hair pulling, resulting in thinning or loss of hair on scalp or eyebrows. PRP may strengthen and stimulate the growth of new
hair, but will not cure compulsive pulling.

Aftercare Instructions

  • After the treatment, your scalp will be slightly pink with a sunburn appearance. Your scalp may be slightly tender and there may be bruising to the scalp
    for
    several days.
  • Do not wash hair for 24 hours after a PRP for Hair Loss treatment
  • No swimming for 48 hours post PRP treatment
  • Do not exercise for 48 hours post treatment
  • No dry shampoo, gel, sprays or any products to hair for 24 hours post treatment

treatments recommended.

Before Your PRP Treatment

  • If you develop a fever, cold, flu, or develop a cold sore, blemish, or rash, etc. in the area to be treated prior to your appointment, you must reschedule
    your appointment.
  • It is recommended that if you have a special event or vacation coming up, you should schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • If you are being treated in the lip area and have a history of Herpes (cold sores) with outbreaks more than 2 times a year, you will need to be pre-treated
    with
antiviral medication. We recommend Valtrex 2gm the day before or the morning of the treatment followed by another 2gm 12 hours after the first
    dose. Please let
us know if you need a prescription if you do not have the medication on hand.
  • Discontinue the use of anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs) such as Advil, Aleve, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Naprosyn, etc., at least 1 week before your
    treatment.
One of the purposes of PRP is to induce inflammation and these medications limit or prevent inflammation. You may take Tylenol or other Acetaminophen-containing products as directed.
  • Discontinue the use of any blood thinning agents such as Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver, Essential Fatty Acids (EPA, DHA),
    etc.,
for at least 1 week before treatment to minimize bruising and bleeding.
  • You will not be able to undergo a treatment if you are or have been on systemic corticosteroids (Prednisone, Methylprednisolone, etc.) within 2 weeks of treatment. Consult your provider for approval to discontinue use of corticosteroids for this procedure.
  • It is recommended that you avoid alcohol, caffeine, niacin, spicy foods, and cigarettes 3 days before your treatment as these products may increase the
    risk of bleeding.
  • Maintain a healthy diet and drink at least 64 oz. of water the day before and the day of the treatment. It is important to be well hydrated, as you will be
    giving blood.

After Your PRP Treatment

  • Maintain a healthy diet and drink at least 64 oz. of water the day before and the day of the treatment. It is important to be well hydrated, as you will be
    giving blood.
  • After the treatment, your skin will be slightly pink and feel slightly sunburned. For most people, your skin will completely recover in 24-72 hours. Your
    body’s
collagen production usually takes about 4-8 weeks, so you will continue to see improvements over this time.
  • No makeup to area of treatment for at least 24 hours post microneedling with PRP.
  • Apply CeraVe moisturizer to area of treatment daily following treatment. You may purchase this at local pharmacy store (Walgreens, CVS, Target)
